Pick up some new reads from the library with Click and Collect
- From September 27, Bowral Central Library
Highlanders have the opportunity to enjoy over 71,000 items from the Wingecarribee Public Libraries with their new Click and Collect service. The service commences at the Bowral Central Library today (September 27).
Library members can can access the catalogue online or over the phone, and take up to 10 items home at a time. The Click and Collect service and automated book return chute will operate at the library between 10 am and 3pm Monday to Friday.
Attendees must adhere to COVID safe guidelines and wear a mask, socially distance and sign in when they pick up their items.
Koala Karaoke with Julia Zemiro
- September 28, Zoom, 7pm
Have you ever heard koalas sing love songs to serenade one another? Now you can with koala karaoke with the Southern Highlands Koala Conservation Project at home! Wingecarribee Shire Council's Koala Officer Margot Law has recorded over 10,000 of koala melodies.
Attendees have the opportunity to ask the Southern Highlands Koala Conservation Project questions, discover the findings of their annual survey and sing along with the iconic marsupial.

Individual cricket sessions for kids at Bradman Oval
- Monday - Friday during the school holidays, Bradman Oval, 10am - 6pm
Kids can be mentored in cricket with one-on-one sessions with coach Jock this school holidays. The bowling machine can be hired for $30 for 30 minutes, and Jock will mentor young cricketers and feed the balls through the machine.
The machine can also be hired for individual use for 30 minutes without Jock for $25. Adults dropping children off can grab a coffee and takeaway at the café, and book in some free exercise on the oval.
Attendees must adhere to COVID guidelines and scan QR codes when they arrive. Bookings can be made by calling Jock on 0439690026.

Tulip Time
Wingecarribee residents can appreciate the colours of Tulip Time at the Corbett Gardens. The event commemorates the 60th anniversary of the flower festival, and their charity partner Can Assist Southern Highlands, who miss out on the usual influx of tourists. Attendees must check-in with the QR code at the Bendooley Street entrance.
Those who might not live in the region, or want to view it at a distance will have the opportunity to see a video of the spring florals on the Tulip Time Facebook page from September 30.
A cash donation box is set up in the gardens, and people can also make a donation to Can Assist Southern Highlands online.
Sharon Collyer's exhibition Terra Tutti
- Until October 18, online (The SHAC)
Immerse yourself in Highlands artist Sharon Collyer's collection of paintings that are inspired by nature, music and her heart's desires. She uses a variety of mediums to tell many stories.
The artist told the SHAC that she wanted to create a "sense of openness and calm", which would give viewers "the opportunity to reconnect with their own personal stories of love, loss and joy."

Have a picnic at the Southern Highlands Winery
- Every Saturday and Sunday, Southern Highlands Winery
Vaccinated Highlanders can grab their picnic blankets and enjoy a picnic for five at the serene Southern Highlands Winery. Attendees have the option to enjoy a cold picnic selection, or a warm selection at an extra cost.
Attendees must comply with COVID regulations and wear a mask unless they are eating and drinking. They also must prove the have had two COVID vaccination doses, and check in when they arrive.
The picnic experience costs $100, and orders can be placed by calling 4868 2300, sending an SMS to 0415 891 555, or ordering online.
