One holiday accommodation and farm stay in the Highlands has faced bushfires and COVID since it opened, and has been determined to make a comeback.

Life at Springfield is situated on a 20 acre estate in Avoca, that offers people the opportunity to press pause, and reconnect with nature.
Manager Shannon Barge ran wellness and permaculture retreats at the property and also leased it out to other people in the wellness industry.
"Everything was going well - we had bookings and had gained momentum, it was so exciting," she said.
Ms Barge also explained that people had to evacuate the property twice when the bushfires threatened the region.

The pandemic then followed and brought the business to a standstill.
"When COVID hit, like so many in the hospitality and tourism industry, we lost bookings and business," she continued.
"We started to get back on our feet when Sydney went into the second lockdown."
Organic wine brand Farm Hand, which is by Fourth Wave Wine, has collaborated with the Avoca premises through their 'Win a Farm Stay promotion.'
General manager of Fourth Wave Wine Ross Marshall said the initiative was an opportunity to support rural communities and a way for Australians to explore country stays.

"As a wine producer, we were very connected to and reliant on rural communities," he said.
Highlanders have a chance to win a free stay at the establishment or other farm stays across the country by purchasing a bottle of Farm Hand, and scanning its QR code.
Ms Barge said it was "wonderful" to see the business provide this opportunity to other businesses that provided experiences for its guests.
She described it as a "holistic cycle of positivity."
The manager is also a health coach and nutritionist, and has been able to run her business online whilst her parents maintain the farm in Avoca.
"We created a different garden for every season and allow what was going to thrive naturally to grow," Ms Barge explained.
"We were passionate about permaculture and truly believed in the power of working with nature and not against it."
She connected and collaborated with Farm Hand prior to the competition.
Other prizes are also up for grabs, and the competition will run until November 9.
