The Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens will hold an open day and plant sale to draw attention to the many and growing attractions of the property.

It will be among 100 botanic gardens, arboreta and gardens celebrating Botanic Gardens' Open Day across Australia and New Zealand (BGANZ).
SHBG will celebrate this free event from 11am to 2pm by offering informative guided tours with enthusiastic volunteers.
Presentations on the future designs for the gardens, including the education centre and the visitors information building, including cafe and coffee kiosk, will be a feature of the day.
The gardens' team of volunteers will also offer walking tours to explore the existing gardens including four national plant collections and areas of future development, including the sunken dell and the native board walk over the existing chain of ponds.
There will also be a sale at the garden's nursery with up to 40 per cent off some selected plants. This will be the last weekend opening of the nursery before winter.
Examples of plants available through the nursery include those that can be seen growing in the gardens on the corner of Old South and Kangaloon Roads in Bowral.
Meanwhile, a barbecue run on the day for all to enjoy while relaxing in the grounds. Bring a picnic, bring the family or grab some refreshments available on site.
Guests are encouraged to come along to the open day, check the ever-expanding gardens and associated attractions, including an impressive children's playground, and maybe even purchase some plants for their own gardens.

No dogs are allowed as the gardens' are a migratory bird habitat.
