The two metre statue is decorated with tulips, and made its debut in the Corbett Gardens, as part of the Mary Poppins themed Tulip Time festival in 2019.
For Poppins devotees, this new addition to the region could be considered practically perfect in every way.
Destination Southern Highlands group manager of tourism and economic development Steve Rosa said the statue provided tourists with an introduction to the P. Travers and her connection to the region.
"We continue to tell the story of PL Travers, Mary Poppins and the Southern Highlands," he said.

Tourists and Mary Poppins enthusiasts can find the statue opposite from the centre's entry, in the courtyard.
The tulip statue is in addition to the Mary Poppins Birthplace Statue that stands tall in Glebe Park.
Mr Rosa added that the statue's erection was in coincidence to the 25th anniversary of Mrs Travers' passing in April, and the announcement of the musical returning to Sydney next year.
He also mentioned that the story of PL Travers and Mary Poppins was due to be integrated into a sign and accompany the statue.
Tulips will be planted below the cutout in time to bloom for Tulip Time in September.
