The committee had previously opted to hold an exhibition only show.
The dog competition and rich fruit cake competition will run exclusively as a competitors-only event with no public access.
The remaining 2021 Robertson Show events will be held toward the end of the year, with details yet to be confirmed.
A Robertson Show spokesperson said the decision was made at the end of a long committee meeting, which looked in detail at the challenges for the individual event organisers and the potential risk to competitors and volunteers.
"While we want to support our rural community, our first obligation is to keep our community safe," they said.
"Thank you all for your understanding, kindness and support. We look forward to updating you with the event details for the later in 2021."
A series of online events will be created for the community, with details to be released soon.
All entries for the dog and rich fruit cake will be available from Monday February 1, 2021 at www.robertsonshow.org.au.
