A highlands golf team has reached their $10,000 target for The Longest Day charity event with a total of $11,027 raised.

Apricity Fiance CEO Lindon Toll said he had signed up as the business was continuously looking for ways to give back and drive community engagement.
"With cancer being so prevalent in today's society, our team is really keen to try and make a difference. Like most we have a couple of very close to home experiences. My youngest brother was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was only six and we spent many hours/days /weeks in and around Prince of Wales Children's Hospital," he said.
"He survived and has two great kids and a successful career but the experience has lived with me ever since - I love giving back. Our very own player, Michael Leahy, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2019 and while he has since recovered, the toll it took on himself and his family is something no one should go through.
"Feeling very fortunate to be a survivor of cancer, Mick shares a deep passion to support this cause and a cancer-free future is something all support whole-heartedly."
Lindon said supporting the Cancer Council and the research, prevention, and support the Cancer Council did was important to him.
"Aussies love the sun and we've gradually become sun-safe smarter but there's still more work to do, so we'd like to play a small part in helping spread the message," he said.
"With all members of the Apricity team being impacted by cancer either personally or in our families, Cancer Council is a tremendous cause that gives hope for the cancer-free future that we all desire."
Apricity Finance participated in The Longest Day for the first time this year with a goal to raise as much money as possible.
