There's plenty to see and do across the Highlands to keep all the family entertained.
Check out some of our ideas to keep busy over the next couple of months:
Pools
There are four public pools across the Southern Highlands- Mittagong, Bowral, Bundanoon and Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre.
Bundanoon and Mittagong Swimming Centre operating hours will be extended during the day in school holidays.

Empire Cinema
When the weather's too hot over summer or maybe it's a rainy day, the Empire Cinema in Bowral is a great option.
The Empire Cinema is located on Bong Bong Street, Bowral and has a great selection of movies for the whole family to enjoy.
Plus, who doesn't love some popcorn and a choc top!

Illawarra Fly
The Illawarra Fly Treetop Adventures is open Thursday to Sunday 10am-5pm (last entry 4pm) and every day during the school holidays.
Visitors can enjoy the treetop walk or the zipline adventure.
Kids can also enjoy the Gruffalo Spotters app, where families can interact with the 3D characters from the film on the self-led trails, which are also packed with facts about forest animals, and fun activities.

Activities begin at 9am and finish at 4pm each day and the cost is $37.50 per person.

Parks
With summer a great time to get out and enjoy the sunshine, there's plenty of parks in the Southern Highlands for kids to enjoy.
From Hill Top to Wingello, there are a range of parks, reserves and ovals where kids can run free or enjoy the play equipment.
They're also great places for a family picnic.

Tennis camps
Complete Tennis offers a range of holiday camps for juniors from four to 13 years of age and for all standards and abilities.
Venues for the camps are Bowral Tennis Club, Park Rd, Bowral or Bundanoon Tennis Club, Bundanoon.
The camps feature a wide range of activities in luding use of modified HOTSHOTS equipment, nets and games as well as an end of clinic party/presentation.
At Bowral, there will be a pre-Christmas camp from December 21-23.
After Christmas there will be two camps, running on January 4-7 and January 18-21.
At Bundanoon there will also be a pre-Christmas camp from December 21-23 and one after Christmas from January 18-21.

Bushwalks
The Southern Highlands boasts some stunning scenery.
Take in the beautiful Highlands views on one of the many walks available in the region.
From more serious bushwalkers, to someone just looking to enjoy a stroll and enjoy the Highlands scenery, there's something for everyone.
Fitzroy Falls, Belmore Falls and Carrington Falls also provide visitors with some spectacular views of waterfalls in the region.

Neenys Playhouse
Always a great, Neenys Playhouse is the perfect place for kids to use up some of their endless energy.
The indoor multi-level playground has a climbing wall, jumping castle and toddler area as well as plenty of other exciting things to explore.

Bradman Museum
The perfect place for the cricket tragic to spend a few hours...or even a whole day.
The Bradman Museum is open seven days a week and showcases some of the sport's greatest treasures as well as providing a detailed history of the game.
The Bradman Museum and International Cricket Hall of Fame currently comprises of six galleries.

Highlands Tenpin
A great family activity, Highlands Tenpin is located in Mittagong.
Kids and adults can all enjoy a game of ten pin bowling, no matter what their ability.
There are 16 lanes and along with the bowling, music, videos and disco lighting which creates a great atmosphere.
There's also cafe to grab a bite to eat and amusement machines.

Kaz Kids Workshops
January school holiday workshops are now open. On January 19, there will be a kids Koori cooking class for children six years an over which will cost $50. On January 20, there will be Kaz Magic new tricks workshop, where kids six years and over can learn the traits of a true magician. This will cost $50. And on January 21, there will be a Kids Cooking Surfs Up class, again for children six years an over which will cost $50. Workshops run from 9.30am - 3pm. Morning tea and lunch included.
