Lauren's work The Slowdown will feature in the HERE I AM: Art by Great Women festival at Kambri at the Australian National University.
The team at aMBUSH Gallery reached out to her and asked her to be a part of the exhibition.
"They were after something specifically Australian," she said.
"I had some photos and things from a road trip I'd done."
This artwork was one piece in an ongoing series created while Lauren explored some of the less travelled roads of rural Australia.
She said her work was part of the outdoor public art exhibition held along Exhibition Avenue.
These large-scale works span multi-disciplinary practices including street art, fine art, photography, and illustration, and will be displayed on six exhibition cubes along University Avenue.
"It's printed large so it's a different and fun way to show the work," Lauren said.
"It's always good to be included in a group show and share your work among other artists."
Lauren started with painting and drawing and said she had recently added mixed media works to her artistic repertoire.
"I've done a lot of different things. I've always taken photos for reference. There are certain times that [I think] that photo needs to exist as a photo and then I've added my own little bit of language over the top."
She said she would be working to make The Slowdown available on her website in the new year.
HERE I AM: Art by Great Women, opened last month.
The exhibition is free of charge and will be on display 24 hours a day until February 28, 2021, powered by solar lights.
In addition to the exhibitions, there will be a series of free family-friendly public events held across the Kambri precinct as part of the HERE I AM program.
