The state-of-the-art building is a hive of activity with our staff busily stocking their units, setting up equipment and preparing for the arrival of patients.
The opening of the new hospital is a milestone in the history of our hospital and we are thrilled our community will soon have the opportunity to receive care in the purpose-built, contemporary facility.

Our new building includes more single rooms with ensuites, new operating theatres, adult and paediatic wards, a new Emergency Department, birthing suites, new rehabilitation spaces and a hospital main entrance.
In lieu of a community opening event, which isn't possible due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we'll be launching a video during the opening week to showcase the new building and some of the people that have helped bring the project to fruition.
Keep an eye on our Facebook page in early December!
We are also excited that the recently announced NSW Budget confirms $55 million for stage two of the hospital's redevelopment, which will include a second new building on our campus.
Planning will soon get underway to determine the clinical services that will be located in the new building.
With the festive season getting into full swing, I would like to remind you to continue to be vigilant in our battle to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Please maintain your physical distance from others and get tested if you have symptoms, even if they are mild.
The hospital's COVID-19 testing clinic is open seven days a week from 8am to 6pm.
