Bowral bowler, Stephen Della has had tremendous success at both club and zone level for the past three months.
The wonderful run has come to an end at the quarter final stage in the zone singles when he was defeated by Adam Johnson from Campbelltown city 31-28.
The match was very early in the favour of Johnson who was in cruise control going to a 19-5 lead.
To Della's credit, from a terribly slow start he held the highlights in the second half of the match bringing off shots to get him right back into the match.
After Della got back into the game, he sat at be 30-28 to Johnson.
In fact it was only a spectacular shot from Johnson that gave him victory by three shots to put him in the semifinals.
For Bowral bowler Della, a great come back after being so far behind and he can sit back and enjoy the rest of the season.
The zone selectors have selected a squad of 30 players in a train on squad for future representatives matches and a modest Stephen Della has told me he has been selected in this squad.
