The u12 Highlands District Cricket Association representative team is ready to take on representative teams from Shoalhaven, Illawarra and South Coast.
The exciting opportunity to represent the district is not lost on the team, with several young cricketers making their representative cricket debut.
One young cricketer who is excited about his selection to represent the Highlands is Nathan Butcher.
"I'm really happy to be playing," he said.
"There's more competition and it's harder."
Nathan is a bowler for Bowral Cricket Club and cites Usman Khwaja as one of his favourite cricketers.
U12 coach for the representative side Michael Heinecke said for most of the boys it was the first time playing representative cricket.
"I'm very excited for the boys," he said.
Crickets from across the HDCA participated in trials in order to be selected for the u12 inter association competition.
