Mr Burgess appeared at Moss Vale Local Court on Monday, to defend accusations he intimidated Mr Hooke at the 64-year-old's Glenquarry home in October last year.
It was alleged in court Mr Burgess told Mr Hooke "I'm going to get you" and "everyone that knows you hates you".
Ms Burgess told the court her father called her in an "emotional" state, following the alleged incident with the former Rabbitohs captain.
"He said 'he had wild eyes, he just came at me'," Ms Burgess said.
Ms Burgess said when she returned home she observed her father's "mouth was dry, he was visibly shaken, he was wobbly on his feet".
When Mr Hooke took to the stand, lawyer Phillip Boulten SC put to him that he had "taken steps towards destroying" his former son-in-law's reputation.
"When you had your exchange with Mr Burgess you said to him 'I'm going to destroy you if it's the last thing I do, I'm going to destroy you and your career'," Mr Boulten said.
Mr Hooke denied this and said "he is the father of my grandchildren".
The court heard audio of Ms Burgess' call to Triple Zero (000) following the alleged incident.
"It's Sam Burgess, so it can't be made public but I just need to report it 'cause he's still in the area and he's really angry," Ms Burgess told the call-taker.
The court also played CCTV of Sam Burgess at the Royal Hotel in Bowral prior to his visit to Mr Hooke's Glenquarry home, where he ordered four beers and posed for photographs with fans.
Mr Burgess has pleaded not guilty to two charges, including intimidation.
The matter will return to court before Magistrate Robert Rabbidge early next year.
