The trail offers more than 80 artists in the Highlands to showcase their talents in 37 studios spread across villages and towns.
Mediums on display will include both traditional and contemporary paintings, etching, ceramics, woodworks, textiles, photography, sculpture, printmaking and jewellery.
Southern Highland News have compiled several profiles of artists who are participating in the Southern Highlands Arts Trail in 2020.

Southern Highlands Arts Trail artist profile | Loraine Coles
Surrounded by 'beautiful landscapes and vibrant colours', Loraine Coles work is inspired by nature.
She has used acrylic, fluid acrylic, watercolour, charcoal, pastel, gouache, and ink to create her artworks over the past 10 years.
Southern Highlands Arts Trail artist profile | Savanna Storm
With a unique collection of hand made jewellery from ancient and archaeological artifacts, Savanna Storm is back for her fifth Arts Trail.
A jewellery maker for 18 years as well as a photographer, Savanna notes that anything from the weather, to music, to fabric, of course the components, and the personality of who is going to wear it inspires her process.

He has been wood turning and restoring furniture for more than 18 years but 2020 will be Michael Adamietz's first year on on the Southern Highlands Arts Trail.
His Joadja studio will be open for visitors this weekend.

Forty years ago, Miel Kroon pained with oils - but that was before she discovered acrylics and watercolours.
She now prefers to use these because "I love to pain fast".
2020 will be the fourth year Miel has been involved in the Southern Highlands Arts Trail.

Artist Sarah Pitt is looking forward to being a part of the Southern Highlands Arts Trail for the first time.
Her artwork, created with acrylics, draws inspiration from the Southern Highlands landscapes.

After 20 years in marketing, design and publishing, Carmel Slater "tossed it all in" three years ago to start her career as an artist.
And she has "loved every second of it".
Carmel started as a watercolour artist three years ago, with her works a "salute to Mother Nature".

A mixed medium artist, Gillian Baldock uses pastels, graphite, watercolours, oils, scratchboards and traditional forms of printmaking to create her artwork.
"I've used most of the mediums for many years, printmaking for approximately 10 years," she said.

Inspired by patterns in nature, Mr Nanetti said he enjoyed the colours, patterns and the scent of wood when it came to creating art work.

Having created art for most of his life, Martial's chosen medium is oil painting and finds his inspiration in the "little happy moments in every day life".
