This has booked their place in the Group 6 Rugby League Grand Final, at Thirlmere Sportsground.
The Workers had to work for their win, with Campbelltown City proving a worthy opponent in the second-last game of the season, in front of a smaller-than-expected crowd.
Points were at a premium in the opening 20 minutes, as both sides settled into the rhythm of the game, which was free-flowing, but error-riddled.
Weather conditions played a role in the match's early stages, with inclement weather earlier in the day making handling an issue for both sides.
The opening points of the day came through a solo try to Oakdale centre Josh Burke, after a nice kick through wasn't forced by the Campbelltown City defence, and Burke popped up to score.
The Workers led 6-0 at the first break, with neither side giving little in defence.
The second 20 minutes of the first half followed the pattern of the first, with little points, poor handling from both sides, especially in attacking positions, and no points, but several chances.
Neither side could mount any sustained pressure inside the opposition 20m, with handling and options failing at key moments.
Halftime saw Oakdale hold a 6-0 lead, but they wouldn't have been confident of their position, knowing the City attack was capable of providing plenty of points in a hurry.
Oakdale countered that, by scoring a try 15 minutes after play resumed, with livewire hooker Alec Bush scoring to extend the Workers' lead to 10-0.
The Workers' would have been happy with their position, but still wary, knowing what their opposition is capable of.
The final 20 minutes of play saw both sides really attack, knowing a Grand Final berth was on the line.
However, Oakdale prop Jacob Mayer crashed over three minutes after the play resumed, giving Oakdale what appeared to be an unassailable lead at 18-0, but there was still 15 minutes remaining.
A penalty goal attempt from Oakdale five-eighth Luke Rouland sailed wide with eight minutes remaining, but it wasn't as costly as it could have been, with City unable to capitalise on their chances.
Most of the crowd would have been pleased to see City centre Jacob Wright score a try inside the final minute, which was well deserved by the Roos' side.
Their effort wasn't reflected in the final scoreline, with several good chances going to waste during the afternoon.
They certainly deserved a try to their name, and the conversion was added in the final play of the game, making the score 19-6 to Oakdale.
The win sees Oakdale advance to next week's Group 6 Rugby League Grand Final against Thirlmere, in what many neutrals would see as the appropriate end to the 2020 season, with the two best sides facing off in the final game of the season.
Thirlmere's only loss of the season came at the hands of Oakdale, while the Roosters atoned in the Major Semi Final last weekend - both games had a two-point margin, indicating another close decider is on the cards.
