But, they'll have to wait till next season to get the victory on the pinnacle day.
Facing off with Thirlmere, it was a close even match at the end of the first quarter with scores at 6-4 Thirlmere's way.
By half time the Roosters had pulled away heading into the break with a 16-4 lead.
With two minutes to go in the game, Thirlmere held a commanding 24-8 lead and got the best of the Storm on the day.
Captain of the Under 14's Storm side, Oliver Shea said Thirlmere put up a great fight.
"They played great and wanted the win more," Shea said.
"We unfortunately couldn't get back into the game and steal the win, but we had an excellent season."
Next season when the team returns, Shea said the team should be changing competitions
"Next season, hopefully we'll be going down to Group 7 which will be a good move," Shea said.
"Unfortunately we won't be able to face anymore Thirlmere teams, maybe we can invite them for a invitational match one day."
The Highland Storm shared in Thirlmere's victory showing humility and class shaking opposing players hands. Ending their successful season by demonstrating a key core to the club's code, respect.
