Now she's just re-signed for the 2020-21 season with a Westfield W-League team.
Beginning at the age of six, she was drawn to the world game.
Getting her first kick with Moss Vale Soccer Club, once Chloe Middleton set foot on those Highland football pitches she never looked back.
"I'm not sure what drew to the game, but I just loved playing sports," Middleton said.
"I kept playing and at 13 I played a season for Southern Branch FC. The next year I went to the Illawarra Stingrays.
"This is my tenth year with the Stingrays."
At the beginning of the 2019-20 season, Middleton signed with the Western Sydney Wanderers in the Westfield W-League.
Playing at midfield was a natural choice for Middleton, but she's edging her way up front more each game.
"I was originally a defensive midfield player," Middleton said.
"But more recently, I've become an attacking mid, wing and striker.
"I'm really enjoying playing those attacking positions. It's a great feeling scoring a goal."
With all the hard work Middleton has put into her craft, signing her name on the dotted line to join the Western Sydney Wanderers was a dream come true.
"It was the best feeling ever," Middleton said.
"You work so hard. Training five to six days a week in Sydney, there is so much effort needed to be put in. When it eventually paid off it felt really good."
Re-signing with the Wanderers for the 2020-21 season, Middleton will look to expand her game and continue to grow as a player.
"It's very exciting to be back with the Wanderers," Middleton said.
"I want to continue improving on my game. I want to get more playing time on the field and become a more all-round, experienced player.
"I can't wait to show what I've got. Those are my goals for this upcoming season."
