In a bid to get into the Highland spirit, the new Moss Vale Domino's Pizza restaurant have raised money in support of the Moss Vale Soccer Club (MVSC).
President of the Moss Vale Soccer Club, Krystal Meindl said that the donation really helped the club in a trying time.
"Moss Vale Domino's Pizza ran a $1 for every pizza sold "doughraiser" initiative on Saturday, August 29 and have generously donated $680 to the club," Meindl said.
"This has meant we are able to purchase end of year soccer balls for our junior presentation.
"With COVID and our new training facility after eight years of ground work finally beginning to be built, it's been stressful.
"We haven't had a canteen and therefore did not have the funds available to purchase the end of year soccer balls for our junior presentation.
"So this is really great for the club and our 160 junior players."
In difficult times around the globe, it's always great to see the Highland generous spirit still shining through. Krystal and the MVSC are amazed at the pizza restaurant's generosity.
"It's a really good example of community spirit," Meindl said.
"And in these tough times, it's amazing that people like Sovit and the Domino's team are willing to help out local clubs."
