Dan Ticehurst has stood down from the Bowral Bowls secretary position after serving for three years, owing to ill health.
Dan has been a big part in promoting the game of lawn bowls.
He has been a tireless worker for seven days a week and undoubtedly will be missed from this role.
Club chairman Stephen Della spoke glowingly of Dan's work as secretary and wished him well for the future.
President of the men's club, Bob Crowley thanked Dan for his tireless work and his dedication to promoting the sport of lawn bowls.
Crowley also mentioned that in the future there will be a tournament named the Dan Ticehurst triples.
Best wishes Dan and we hope you can have a few games of bowls now that you have retired from duty.
The club has moved from a bowls secretary to a position of bowls coordinator with Carl Spilker.
Carl has predicted more tournaments for the club and with a hot spell of weather being predicted over the coming months he hopes to be able to focus on a bare foot bowls competition.
Spilker said that he will build on the good work Dan has done for the club.
