The SAS are all staff who work in schools besides the teachers.
They work in school offices, classrooms, libraries, school kitchens, school farms and maintain and care for school grounds and buildings. They also take care of the school's finance and administration.
Moss Vale High School SAS staff were treated to two morning teas last Monday and Friday which was provided by the executive staff of the school.
The longest serving SAS staff member currently at the school is their community liaison coordinator Dianne Sutherland who is not only a former student, but has been working there for the past 26 years.
"I did my nurse's degree and when I had my children, the hours weren't suitable for me," Ms Sutherland said.
"A teacher's aide position popped up at the school and I took it.
"I then applied for an administration role and have been here ever since."

There have been many highlights for Ms Sutherland during her time, but the school's mission stands out for her.
"I don't think I can name a best memory, but I can say the best part of working at Moss Vale High School is that it is an exceptional high school," she said.
"The school is committed to providing innovative educational experiences for all our students, no matter what the student's ability.
"All school staff genuinely care about the social, emotional and academic well-being of our students and encourage them to define their own success each day."
Throughout the 26 years of her time at the school, she has noticed how things have continued to evolve.
"Technology is redefining, not only the ways of teaching, but the actual curriculum of what is learnt.
"Students can research topics online, explore subject content further and find inspiration for their work.
"Different teaching styles have changed and are being implemented with technology."
All the SAS staff enjoyed the celebrations because it was a very rare occasion for them all to meet as a group.
