Highland FM 107.1 has been nominated for 15 out of 30 CBA awards.
These include Best Community Radio Station, Outstanding Community Engagement (community service campaigns) and Best Station Production.
Radio personality Adam Stokeld said it was of the first time in 33 years of continuous broadcasting that Highland FM had been "of the standard required to enter the awards."
"It is a wonderful acknowledgment of our efforts by our peers," he said.
"We are delighted with the number of quality initiatives for our submissions and our improved standard in broadcast presentation. This is a credit to everyone at the Station.
"Our 37 volunteer presenters are local residents who are focused on serving the community."
Adam said that the volunteers had spent more than 120 hours of writing submissions.
"The criteria for each award is 300 words. There are five questions for each one," he said.
"There's five of us on the management team, so it's nice that we have the ability to write the submissions."
