Mr Burgess' legal team appeared on his behalf at Moss Vale Local Court on Wednesday, July 8.
Police charged Mr Burgess with the offence of intimidation (domestic violence related) in October last year.
Wednesday's matter was previously scheduled for June 26, however the mention could not proceed due to COVID-19 limitations.
Mr Burgess' lawyer Bryan Wrench said he had received a complete brief of evidence since this time.
"We maintain our innocence on this matter," Mr Wrench said.
The matter will return to court on November 16 for a hearing.
Mr Burgess' bail and an interim AVO order will continue.
