Rugby League: With the merging of several Southern Highland rugby league teams forming the Southern Highland Storm, the 2020 season was set to be a blockbuster. Rugby Union: With the Bowral Blacks unveiling their new clubhouse, the club are ready and roaring. This union season is looking a little different with the Blacks competing in a Illawarra Rugby competition which will be called the 2020 COVID Cup. It will be a ten round, first past the post competition held on August 1, 2020.

Target Shooting: An excellent solo sport, surrounded with mates to hone your aiming and shooting skills. Target shooting has returned to the Highlands with the Berrima Clay Target Club holding competitions over the July 6 weekend. For participation interest, please contact the club on: 0412 749 608.
Soccer: The world's game has kicked off! With a shaky start, teams believing their season would be further delayed by refusal of use of grounds, cooler heads prevailed and the great game is being played around the Highlands.
Cycling: Cycling's Winter competition began over the July 5 weekend with the Southern Highland Cycling Club's Bundanoon Road Race.
Lawn Bowls: The gentleman's game has returned, with strict personal hygiene rules still in place. The final of the major singles will be played at Bowral Bowling Club on July 11. The BPL Cup will also be held on July 26, with the winners of state finals set to receive a paid trip to the national finals at Club Pine Rivers in November 2020.
