Bowral Lawn bowler Gordon Lewis said that a report from NSW Bowls had called on members to show their support for their clubs.
He said a decision had been made by Bowls NSW that no zone or state events would be allocated to re-start until at least August 1.
Mr Lewis said he understood the start would begin with social bowls days and competitions, without the added pressure of having to host events and/or send players to other clubs to participate in events.
He said the Bowls NSW report highlighted the requirement of everyone to abide by the social distancing and gathering laws, in place.

According to Mr Lewis the Bowls NSW report said "our clubs have borne the brunt of the financial impact of the covid-19 shutdowns and more than ever, need their members to support them."
"With ever changing restrictions imposed upon how they can operate, all decisions, have been made with consideration to their situation and this has been agreed by all zones.
"As clubs start to get back operating they will need to re-assess their layouts and put in protocols to abide by the new regulations and this will take time.
"Furthermore, clubs will need to re-engage their memberships and ascertain which of those members are willing to come back and start participating in events at all levels.
Mr Lewis said he noted that at least somebody was listening for the call for bowls to be opened up again.
"But we must all play our part by being guided by the health officials and rules put in place," he said.
"Our health workers need every one to play their part as we try to recover from coronavirus."
Mr Lewis said Bowral Bowls Club was currently making plans for a restart of social bowls at a time yet to be confirmed.
