How are you feeling about the sports lock down due to coronavirus?
It's a little boring but using the down time to relax.
How are you staying fit and healthy with this time off?
It's freed me to working round home. It is an act to keep very busy to keep fit, but doing a lot of concreting and you have to be fit to do that.
What do you miss and can't wait to do most when you're back playing.
Will be celebrating the catch up with friends and having a social drink.
Who is/was your favourite athlete growing up and how did they help shape you as a sports person?
For me Bob Fulton for his natural ability playing rugby league and his running game was mind blowing. Also John Kelly lawn bowler from Bargo who was a former state player and won State Player of the Year three years in a row. When I was struggling early in my career he gave me great tips on how to improve.
As most of 2020 may be cancelled what do you hope to get out of the rest of the season if your sport returns, if not, what are you looking to accomplish next season?
Basically to practice for next year's pennant season. It must never be forgotten that practice makes your game razor sharp.
Best all time bowler?
Mick Armstrong. A great team player. I have played against and with Mick over many years. In fact each month we would be playing all over the state and never seen him get flustered even when the chips were down.
Over your playing career what have been your highlights?
Peak would have been reaching the state pairs final playing with John Kelly, although getting beat on an extra end. The game was of a high standard and the rumpus and noise from the spectators was as good as a football match.
From a team point of view playing for Bargo three years ago and to appear in a state final of the pennants and win.
Playing for Bowral in the state fours with Mick Armstrong, Stephen Della and Garry brown. Played at Ettalong. And reaching the quarter-finals, as a representative in zone for 20 years and the district for 18 years.
Started playing bowls in 1996 at Mittagong. Picked in the team of the century chosen for the Bowral 100 years celebrations.
