One Southern Highlands youngster Christopher Galwey, 3, is completely immersing himself in the ambition and his mum, Tanya Galwey has happily captured his efforts on camera.
Tanya said that her young 'future fireman' from Berrima was well-prepared with a toy chainsaw to work on the trees that had fallen on the road because of the bushfires and recent flooding.
"He takes after his father John who is a volunteer firefighter for Mandemar," she said.
