Police were performing stationary speed enforcement duties on the Hume Motorway Mittagong after midnight on Saturday.
At this time police allege a semi-trailer was seen travelling north at a speed, estimated to be well in excess of the 110km/hr speed limit.
Police said the speed of the heavy vehicle was allegedly checked at 131km/hr.
A short time later police took up a position behind the heavy vehicle, as it continued to travel north upon the Hume Motorway.
Police also pulled up alongside the prime mover and indicated to the driver to pull over.
Police will allege that the driver appeared to ignore the police direction to stop his vehicle.
Officers continued to follow along the Hume Motorway from Yerrinbool to Pheasants Nest, where the driver slowed and entered the Pheasants Nest service centre.

The driver was advised that he was under arrest as a result of the outstanding warrants.
He was taken to Southern Highlands Police Station where he was charged with the warrants, exceeding the heavy vehicle special speed limit by more than twenty kilometres per hour and disobeying a police direction to stop his vehicle.
