More than 75 members enjoyed an enthralling visit to Fairground Follies, a unique collection of vintage fairground rides, carousels and massive pipe organs which have been gathered together in Bowral by Craig Robinson.
"It was one of the most fascinating visits we've made," said Branch Chair Mhairi Clark.
"Not only are the dozen or more carousels and huge fairground organs spectacular and colourful, Craig and his team have lovingly restored all of them. They all work beautifully with a splendid arrays of lights, and with that special fairground pipe organ sound we can all recall from visits to the local circus when it visited town".
Attendance fees, sales of raffle tickets, plus an additional small 'top-up' donation from the Trust's own coffers brought the total donated to WIRES to just over $1,500 all of which will go towards helping care for the many injured wildlife around the Highlands.
