Free organised activities will run from 9am to 12pm and from 4pm to 7pm. In between those times all courts will be available for free use by players of any standard.
No racquets and no mates required.
The day will mark the re-opening of the Moss Vale Tennis Courts, after the recent resurfacing work and featuring Tennis Australia's 'Get Your Racquet On' initiative.
There will be free sausage sizzles and light refreshments. Adults can BYO drinks.
On court activities will be hosted by coaches Fer Garcia, Chelsea Pernice and Sergio Rojas Tessel.
Activities will cover juniors and adults for both beginners and established players. Ex players who may be thinking about returning to the sport and those wanting to try tennis for the first time are welcomed.
There is no need to bring a racquet, everything will be supplied, including advice and support. All free.
For anyone who may not be confident to play on a full court or just wanting some fun exercise in a social atmosphere, there will be Open Court Sessions, pickleball style (using paddles instead of racquets).
For established players there will be doubles matchups. Of course, there will be music to add to the fun and supportive atmosphere.
These Open Court sessions will also provide a taste of a new weekly program which will be introduced at the courts this year. https://www.highlandstenniscommunity.com/adults
