The $20,000 grant will go towards the 'Raptors Tracking Post Release' program.
Stephen Jones, Member for Whitlam, toured the facilities with raptor care volunteers including the free flight aviary.
Raptor Care and Conservation Inc. promotes raptor researcher, rehabilitation and care.
The program will enable satellite tracking of raptors once they have built up their strength in the onsite free flight aviary and are released back into the wild.
With many raptor spieces threatened the satellite tracking of these birds will help rehabilitators to monitor and adapt new rehabilitation techniques to ensure the survival of Australian raptors.
Each satellite trackers cost $2500 and will be purchased with the grant money, with the remaining costs of the program covered by in-kind support.
"The Stronger Communities Grants Program is a terrific program that provides funding to organisations that do great work in local communities," Mr Jones said.
"The team at Raptor Care Conservation Inc do outstanding work and both the community and local wildlife will greatly benefit from this cash injection.
"As our region recovers from a horrific fire season I'll continue to fight for great organisations like this in our local area to receive funding".
