The annual Southern Highlands Legacy Golf Day and Dinner will be held on November 16 at the Bowral Golf Club.
The popular event will feature competitions for men and women, serving and ex-service, members of the Australian Defence Force as well as competitions for people with no defence service background.
This will be followed by dinner in the clubhouse.
The charter of Legacy is to assist the families of servicemen who have died in service or subsequently. Legacy was established just after World War I and has grown to support the dependents left behind by servicemen ever since that time.
Southern Highlands Legacy has more than 200 dependents who are provided financial support as well as help with domestic tasks (gardens, firewood and odd jobs around the house) in addition to administrative help, social activities and holidays at the Legacy Holiday House in Moss Vale.

To help in the local charity's work Legacy conducts a variety of fundraising activities throughout the year.
The annual golf day and dinner hosted by Bowral Golf Club has become a popular and valuable fundraiser on the Legacy and Highlands calendar.
This year the guest of honour at the dinner is Dr Brendan Nelson AO, the Australian War Memorial director who will be accompanied by his wife, Ms Gillian Adamson. They will draw the raffle prizes and announce the winners of each prize during the dinner.
Members of the public who would like to participate in the golf competitions or to attend the dinner can do so by booking with Bowral Golf Club.
