Grab your grandparents and celebrate with them on National Grandparents Day. Head over to the Moss Vale Civic Centre court yard for a fun filled day which will feature a petting zoo, a reading corner, craft and activities, puppet show and a picnic lunch. Entry is free.
Suitcase stories
- October 25, Clubbe Hall Frensham, 7 pm
A new production of 'Suitcase Stories' will return to Treehouse Theatre. Treehouse Theatre welcomes a new group of refugee students in to the program, which helps give the students a voice and works with them to bring their stories to the stage. Suitcase Stories will be performed at Frensham's Clubbe Hall, Mittagong. Tickets can be purchased online via Trybooking.
Passionate for Art exhibition
- October 24 - November 17, Robertson Community Technology Centre, 10 am - 4 pm
Artists Karon Sacks and Gail Newell will exhibit at the Robertson Gallery. Ms Newell has been passionate about watercolour for more than 15 years. Her work is varied in size and style but all paintings display a free handed brushwork approach and bright colour combinations. Ms Sacks creative inspiration and passion has always been derived from nature. Her delicate and intricate drawings using ink, watercolour and acrylics are of fauna and flora subjects. The official opening of the Passionate 4 Art Exhibition will commence from 2pm on October 26 at the Robertson CTC.
A Marriage of Poesie and Music
- October 27, The Rose Room, Burradoo, 2:30 pm
Join Alessandra Garosi on Piano, Adam Simmons on saxophone, clarinet, and shakuhachi and Jane Phegan on vocals for the latest theatrical performance at the Rose Room. Equally comfortable in contemporary classical, jazz and fusion styles, Alessandra and Adam met at the "Alternative" Festival in Prague in 2009. Jane, an actress, and Alessandra, met in 1985 when Alessandra was studying with Sonya Hanke at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Walk 4 brain cancer
- October 27, Bong Bong Picnic Race Track, 9 am
Put on your walking shoes for a good cause. Walk around the race track with your family or friends and raise vital funds for the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. Once you've worked up an appetite, stay for the delicious food on offer, as well as coffee and live entertainment. There will also be a jumping castle and face painting for the kids as well as a vintage car, motorcycle and machinery display. Pre register online for the walk.
