Invited by the Gundungurra First Nation people of the Blue Mountains, the Aboriginal community is invited to celebrate NAIDOC at the Aboriginal Community Day in The Gully, Aboriginal Place, located at Behind the Gully Aborginal Centre in Katoomba.
The Aboriginal community and friends of the Blue Mountains are keen to meet Southern Highlands friends and supporters. This is culture and reconciliation in action- it's what WRG is all about!
There will be a barbecue lunch, with cultural activities for kids and families as well as live entertainment and much more.
The 'In The Gully' event will be held on October 26 from 11:30 am - 3 pm at the Behind the Gully Heritage Centre at 23 Gates Avenue, Katoomba and is a smoke, alcohol and drug free event. Transport will be available from Katoomba Station commuter car park to The Gully throughout the day.
