Baby animals, blossoms on trees and an abundance of ducks out and about - these are three things that herald spring in the Southern Highlands. When it comes to ducks there seems to be very few places in the region where there are not ducks out and about - usually with several ducklings in tow.

This quacking photo was taken by reporter Vera Demertzis while she was out and about. Vera was at Bowral House in Kangaloon Road when she noticed the feathered characters soaking up the Highlands spring weather with a waddle along the roadside.
