The Australian Highlands Wine Show is open to all Australian wines made from grapes sourced from vineyards above 500m in altitude.
More than 160 entries were received in the 2019 show, with the judges highlighting the exceptionally high standard of wines.
This year's show included wines from the regions of Southern Highlands, Orange, Mudgee, New England, Tumbarumba, Hilltops and Canberra district.
Judging was undertaken across two days in early September at Cuttaway Hill Wines.
The 2019 panel of judges included chief judge Toni Paterson MW, Rob Geddes MW, Tempus Two head winemaker Andrew Duff and Wine Selectors associate judge Will Figueira.
The results were kept under lock and key until the awards might held at PepperGreen Estate in Berrima.
More than 70 guests attended the event where chief judge Toni Paterson MW discussed stand-out wines and the increasing quality of wines on offer.
The best in show awards were presented by Wingecarribee Shire Council mayor Duncan Gair, Peppers Craigieburn general manager Susie Shelley and PepperGreen Estate brand ambassador Jewel Brown.
Following the ceremony, guests tasted the medal-winning wines, with many classes featuring Southern Highlands wines.
Tamburlaine Wines were the most successful recipients on the night.
The winery won best wine in the show, best white wine, best red wine, best riesling, best merlot, best cabernet sauvignon, best other red variety, best red blend and best shiraz.

The awards were accepted by senior winemaker Aaron Mercer.
Centennial Vineyards won two trophies, including best sparkling wine in show and best pinot noir in show for its reserve pinot noir.
The Southern Highlands Food and Wine Association hosts and coordinates these awards each year.
