The Gardens' committee has secured a $200,000 My Community Project grant for an all abilities playground.
And committtee chair Charlotte Webb is ecstatic about the news.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the people who voted for our playground," she said.
"We can't thank you all enough for going to the trouble of voting for this project.
"We know the difficulties that some people had and the effort they went to in casting a vote. We are very appreciative."
More than 61,400 votes were cast in NSW by community members keen to attract funding for a favourite project under the My Community Project initiative.
Mrs Webb said the SHBG playground project attracted the most community votes in the Wollondilly electorate.
The playground will be for children of all abilities. It will be constructed inside a fenced area and have easy access for prams, walkers and wheelchairs, with seating within the playground and shade.

Children will be able to play on an Adventure Multiplay, an Elves Playhouse, listen to chimes, jump on things, swing on a choice of swings, and spin around.
Mrs Webb said she "always knew that we had strong community support, and this just goes to show that people will go out of their way to help when we ask them."
"The garden is located in the electorate of Wollondilly and many of our supporters who live outside that electorate were distraught that they could not vote for our project," she said.
"We appreciate every vote that was cast to support our project."
The work should begin around October or November and is expected to be completed before mid 2020.
