The Moss Vale High School student recently performed an original composition called Dance With You at the Sydney Opera House.
The song was about "the innocence of love, belonging and feeling comfortable enough to admit you're in love with someone".
"The song has so much sentiment," she said.
"I remember writing it in my room, I never imagined I'd be performing it at the Sydney Opera House.
"It was a dream come true."
While this was not the first time Javiera has performed at the Sydney venue, she admitted the significance of the occasion was not lost of her.
"It was a very confronting thing playing a piano that's worth a quarter of a million dollars," she said.
"I told myself 'you've done this before and you can do it again'.
"As a songwriter it's a moment I'll treasure for the rest of my life."
The performer's family, friends and boyfriend were in the audience to witness her memorable experience.
In the short-term, Javiera is studying for her Higher School Certificate and working towards graduating from the prestigious Talent Development Project.
The program allows her to work with established recording artists and gives her the opportunity to record with Sony Music at the end of the course.
In the long-term Javiera hopes to fulfill her career goal of becoming a professional songwriter and touring her work.
