August to October days are likely to be warmer than average for almost all of Australia.
Nights are also likely to be warmer than average for many areas.
Dry soils and the forecast for drier than average conditions mean more cloud-free nights than average are likely, increasing the risk of frost in susceptible areas.
Bureau of Meteorology senior climatologist Felicity Gamble said climate outlooks were similar across Australia.
"For much of the country we're expecting an average to drier than average August to October, temperatures are likely to be warmer than average [and] low stream flows are likely at most locations," Ms Gamble said.
The median maximum temperature for Bowral, Mittagong and Moss Vale is predicted to be 17.4 degrees.
Meanwhile the median minimum temperature is predicted to be 5.5 degrees.
A drier than average August to October is likely for large parts of the country.
According to the data, there is a chance Bowral, Moss Vale and Mittagong will receive median rainfall of 187mm from August to October. In the northern villages at Colo Vale and Hill Top, a median of 133mm of rainfall is expected over the three-month period.
