Six-year-old Henry Weekes got to experience a day in the life of a firefighter at Bowral Fire and Rescue as a part of his birthday party.
Henry's mother Sonia Weeks said the afternoon was "filled with lots of excitement and smiles".
"[The firefighters] were incredible, they definitely showed what being part of a small community is all about," she said.
"Some of the children left saying they now want to be a fireman when they grow up."
During the birthday party, Henry and friends were given the opportunity to climb up into the fire engine and spray the fire hose.
The children left the party with fire hats on, big grins and a new enthusiasm for firefighting.
