The Hume Police District Medals and Awards Ceremony was held on May 23 at the Goulburn Bowling Club, where a number of officers from the Highlands received police awards.
The ceremony was attended by Goulburn MP Wendy Tuckerman, Assistant Police Commissioner Peter Barrie, APM, the Region Commander for the South Region of the New South Wales Police Force and District Commander of the Hume Police District Superintendent Chris Schilt.
The award recipients for the Southern Highlands Police were:
Senior Constable Craig Moir, who received a National Police Service Medal, National Medal and 1st clasp NSW Police Medal (15 years).
Sergeant Matthew McCarthy, who received a National Police Service Medal, National Medal 1st Clasp (25 years), NSW Police Medal 2nd clasp (20 years).
Senior Constable Scott Miller received a NSW Police Medal.
Detective Senior Constable Brendan Ritchie received a NSW Police Medal 1st clasp (15 years)
Senior Constable Simone Houghton received a National Medal 1st clasp (25 years), NSW Police Medal 3rd Clasp (25 years).
Detective Senior Constable Peter Wilson received a National Police Service Medal, National Medal, NSW Police Medal, NSW Police Medal 1st clasp (15 years).
General Administrative Support Officer Gillian Linford received a NSW Lapel Pin (30 years).
