Bundanoon's Melting Pot Theatre will present round two of its popular Crash Test Drama.
The event is a great opportunity for new writers to test out their ideas and budding actors to hone their skills.
Local playwrights are invited two months in advance to submit their original manuscripts to be reviewed by the committee with the top seven or eight submitted scripts to be performed on the day.
The day starts out with the writers and directors picking their cast from the assembled actors. They then have two hours to rehearse the piece before it is performed before a live audience.
The Melting Pot Theatre holds four open casting sessions a year.
The top two plays from each open casting session are then performed at the Gala Finale to be held in November.
On this night of nights, the plays vie for entry into the Short and Sweet Theatre Festival in Sydney.
The session will guest judged by well-known director, Dave Letch.
Crash Test Drama will be held on May 18 at the Bundanoon Soldiers' Memorial Hall.
Actors' call at 2pm for a 5pm showtime.
Cost is $10 entry per person.
