Eight eager volunteers from the Bowral club fired up the barbecue at Bunnings Mittagong, located in Braemar, on May 11 to sizzle and sell snags for charity.
In total they cooked up 500 snags for charity.
Their effort was part of a nationwide Lions' Club initiative, The Lions Biggest Barbecue campaign.
The culinary and sales skills of the local Lions Club members managed to raise more than $1000 for the campaign.
All funds will go to Australian Lions Childhood Cancer Research Foundation.
The foundation is currently researching the connection between the genes of young patients and cancer, particularly for the difficult-to-treat illness such as brain cancer.
