My priorities once in office will be that of the community. The concerns of people is my objective and to address each one the best I can. Some concerns have been of better educational opportunities, shorter time-frames on hospital waiting lists and better roads in rural as well as metropolitan regions.
What can you do that your opponents can't?
What will differ me from my opponents will be my honesty with the community with what can be done and what cannot. I won't promise anything unless I can deliver on my word. The community can expect 110% commitment to work for the people and to better their lives and posterity.
What will you do for the roads?
Roads constantly need upgrading whether it be widening, repairing and building new ones.
What are you priorities for health services?
Health is my major concern as it affects individuals on all levels of their lives. Waiting lists can be reduced by increasing staff and amenities. A push for more dental assistance schemes is needed. Improvement in nursing homes is a must and the way we care for the elderly should be reviewed. Hospital upgrades should be a constantly reoccurring as equipments are changing as a result of technology. Mental health is another issue of concern as the sooner people receive aid, the quicker the recovery.
What are your priorities in terms of development and infrastructure?
That will depend on the needs of the areas such as roads, water management, power supply and other services that would go hand-in-hand with local and state governments and be in sync with the community input.
What are your priorities on education and tertiary education ?
A push for a higher standard of education to increase chances for students to excel. I would also advocate more government funded courses through a wide range of areas not limited to TAFE.
