Wingecarribee Shire Councillors displayed solidarity with the Christchurch people at Wednesday night's meeting.

Mayor Duncan Gair used the mayoral minute to offers prayers and condolences to the victims, families and Muslim community of New Zealand, in the wake of the recent mass shootings at mosques in Christchurch.
"I think everyone would've been disappointed, angry and a whole series of emotions when they heard about the mass shootings in Christchurch," Cr Gair said.
"It's senseless killings, I just can't understand it. It affects everyone across the globe when they hear something like this."
Councillors agreed to send a letter of condolence to the community of Christchurch.
Cr Peter Nelson said the Rotary Club of Moss Vale would also write to three Rotary Clubs in Christchurch.
Cr Graham McLaughlin mentioned the comments of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment of this minute. If I could mention some of the unfortunate remarks made by president of Turkey," he said.
"The people of Turkey do not go along with the sentiments expressed by their president. The tour guide said please express this to your people."
Cr Larry Whipper called for unity between people of all ethnicities and religions.
"I think we should put religion [aside] and let's just remember that we're all one," Cr Whipper said.
Cr Ian Scandrett made mention of the recent Harmony Day vigil at Bundanoon's Soldiers Memorial Hall on March 21.
"I was most taken by the strength of solidarity by the community in attendance there," Cr Scandrett said.
