Rural Fire Service, Fire and Rescue and Endeavour Energy crews were called to Bodycotts Lane in Fitzroy Falls at about 10.30am on Tuesday after initial reports of a power pole on fire.

The metre box explosion was due to the rain on Monday night.

The power was disconnected quickly by Endeavour Energy and the residual fire extinguished by a Rural Fire Service crew.

​According to Endeavour Energy, there are no current power outages in Fitzroy Falls or surrounding villages.
