With hits such as "Oh Honey" and "You & Steve McQueen" The Audreys have been a mainstay on the Australian music scene for more than a decade.
"We've been touring so much and we just can't stop," said the Audreys lead singer, Taasha Coates.
"Australia's just so big to cover. I did take a break over Christmas which was very nice. It was lovely to get away with the family."
Playing in Melbourne last week, The Audreys plan on bringing that big city energy to the Southern Highlands.
"Touring has been great, we played in a place called Werribee in Victoria at an outdoor festival.
"We had the whole band with us which was really fun and then we played in Ballarat which was great. It's really good playing there, I quite like Ballarat."
The band has some big plans for 2019. With their previous albums such as Between Last Night And Us which earned them the 2006 ARIA award for Best Blues & Roots Album, The Audreys are hoping their new material will bring them success.
"We're hoping to do a record this year," Taasha said. "We haven't been playing any new material on the road so far but we might, so you never know."
And taking risks is no obstacle for the band when it comes to ensuring something new and entertaining. "We love pulling out only half finished songs, what could possibly go wrong?" Taasha laughs.
We're hoping to do a record this year.
- Taasha Coates
Last time the Audreys were in town they were reminiscing on the time they were sipping champagne on Keith Urban's tour bus.
It may not have been as glamorous, but they created some long-lasting memories while in the Highlands last time around.
"The night we had at the Bowral Bowling Club last time around was great," Taasha said.
"It did begin to get a little blurry because we kept getting given tequilas.
"I tried to be very lady like and only took two.
"We had so much fun there, we had such a great show and played a very long set because we were enjoying ourselves."
Highlanders might be the first to hear some new songs off the potential new record.
"We might even play a new song or two, but you'd have to come to find out," Taasha said
The Audreys will play at the Bowral Bowling Club on Saturday, February 23.
