Waterbrook Prize for Landscape Art
Lots to see
Local and interstate artists showcase their skills in this exhibition. See it all at the Bowral Art Gallery. There will be an opening at the gallery on Friday, May 3 at 6pm. It is open daily from 10am to 4pm.
Penrose art exhibition
Artistic talents
Discover a range of pieces from artists across the Highlands. The opening will be at Penrose Village Hall on Friday, May 3 at 6pm. There will be wine and canapes on arrival and exclusive access to the artworks. It is $35 per person, reserve through Trybooking. All of the artworks are for sale, and people can see the exhibition on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 from 10am to 4pm. Entry with a gold coin donation. All of the artworks can be purchased.
Studio 8 album launch: Into the New
This weekend
Husband and wife Luke Johnson and Michelle Morgan will debut their album Into the New in the Highlands. They have been writing music together for more than 30 years, and their first album will include songs that focus on themes such as Elvis Presley, rodeos and bushfires. Hear it all on Sunday, May 5 at The Mill at 1pm.
Secret Bridesmaids' Business by the Highlands Theatre Group
Dinner and a show
This comedic play follows bride Meg Bacon and her plans before her big day. It explores themes such as love, loyalty, sex and the meaning of marriage. It contains coarse language and adult themes, and is not suitable for children. See it all from Saturday, May 4 at the Moss Vale Services Club. For adults, tickets are $38.50 per show, $75 for the show and a one-course meal and $85 for two courses and a show. For concession holders, it is $33 per person, $69.50 for one course of dinner and $79.50 for two courses. Buy them all through Trybooking.
Robertson Potato Festival
Spud-tacular fun
Enjoy all things potato this weekend. Look forward to potato peeling competitions, Hessians on the Field, cooking demonstrations and more. Enjoy to it all on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday May 5 at the Robertson Showground. Per day, tickets are $25 for adults (16 years old and above), $10 for children between the ages of 12 and 15, and $50 for a family pass (two adults and two children).
