Two matches ended up in one shot wins with players starting to hit pennant form.
Jim Starkey and Don Chapman defeated Owen Williams Dennis Beatty 19-18.

Starkey and Chapman held a 10-5 lead after nine ends and it was inevitably that Williams and Beatty would get back into the match.
Although a slow start Williams and Beatty started putting their game together and over the next eight ends they played some great shots and on the 17th end took the lead 16-15.
Then it was Starkey and Chapman’s turn to put their early form together and they did just that to score two shots on the last end to win by one shot.
Brian Bailey and Peter Morales defeated Jack Davis and Bill Meredith 17-16.
This was a match that was close all the way through. At the half way mark the scores very low at 7-7.
The second half descended into a close contest with the match going down to the last end with Bailey and Morales surviving by one shot.
