The triples event held was named the Gordon Lewis 50th anniversary.
Before starting this report, I extend my thanks my thanks to Elaine Jones and the board of directors for putting on the triples day as the Gordon Lewis 50th anniversary to celebrate my 50 years service to the club, having joined Bowral bowling club on November 11, 1968.
Also extended thanks to all the players who took part and others who made the day a huge success it means a lot to me and my family.
The board put up prize for first and second on the day.
Winners on the day were Jim Starkey, Kel Limbrick and Harold Wall, who defeated Peter Oates, Beryl Oates and Enid Brown 29-8.

Obviously it was thought some of the more highly rated players would take first place.
While they were engaged in tight games and looking at other teams scores, it was team Wall that got under the radar and their tactics took them to a 21 shot win.
Coming in second was Graham Hunt, Paul Leverett and Josh woodcock who defeated Paul Rubie, Allyson Pryce and Mick Flynn 29-10.
On the last end and with the last bowl skipper Josh Woodcock sensed his team had a chance to win the event.
He took up the challenge and put the jack into the ditch to pick up five shots but his team fell two shots short of team Wall.
