The NRMA has unlocked the Southern Highlands to electric vehicle motorists by installing a fast-charging station at Mittagong RSL.

The fast charger is the first to be installed in the Highlands, and will allow most EV motorists to charge their cars within about 30 minutes.
Standard public EV chargers take between three and six hours.

The station is the fifth of the NRMA’s electric vehicle fast charging stations to open to the public, following stations at Sydney Olympic Park, Wallsend, Jindabyne and Pokolbin.
Mark Roberts was one of the first people to charge his vehicle at the new fast -charging station.
“This is a game changer,” Mr Roberts said.
“I will be using this charging station on a regular basis.”
