The team was crowned under-15 premiers after a 3-0 win against St Paul’s.
Only six weeks ago, minor premiers St Paul’s defeated the Kookaburras 9-3.
That loss was Hill Top’s only defeat in the past nine games leading up to the decider and they continued their run of form into the grand final.
Hill Top coach Aaron Fox said it was a great performance from the team.
“We probably saved our best game till last. They just played as a team all game- didn’t drop their heads once, didn’t drop the talk. It was fantastic,” he said.
“Having that run of seven wins from eight coming into [Saturday], we had a lot of momentum and we knew if we played one of our better performances we would stick it to them. So we just had to do it on the day and we did.”
Finn Malone found the back of the net twice for Hill Top and Jeremy Davis also scored.
Fox said goalkeeper David Napper had a great game, keeping a clean sheet, as did Malone and Bodhie Neal in the midfield.
